Danko Arlington uses state-of-the-art in-house 3D printing equipment to produce strong and accurate rapid prototypes.
The company uses Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) technology to print high strength thermoplastics. Our printing capacity is 36” x 24” x 36” with accuracies of .0035” inches or +/-.0015 inch per inch whichever is greater. Larger models can be printed in separate builds and joined together.
Our rapid prototypes are used in a variety of applications including actual production of plastic parts, engineering models for evaluation, fixtures for our machine shop, and new or replacement molds used in our foundry operation.
Developed from customer drawings or supplied CAD, foundry patterns and core boxes can be quickly and accurately printed in a matter of hours, whereas machined and/or conventional metal, plastic, and wood tooling would take weeks to produce.
This exciting new and clean technology leaves our competition in the dust….literally!
